Microsoft Office has pretty much cornered the market in easy to use office software for many years, but these days there are a few free alternatives available which are increasing in popularity. So what's the verdict? While much of the world is still very happily working with MS Office, which, let's face it, most of us are very familiar with and if it ain't broke, you don't need to fix it, others are waking up to the possibilities of a free alternative. It's just a case of getting used to the way of things, but with the many advances and improvements in open source software over the last few years, there's little wonder that many people are choosing a free alternative when it comes to renewing their office software packages.
